I’m Ashley. Lover of good music, new adventures, and shower karaoke. I’m your average 40 year-old soul trapped in a 27 year old’s body.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, but my passion for travel and exploration keeps me constantly on the go! I firmly believe everyone you meet in this life has a purpose, and I think God has his hand behind it all. As for me, I’m still finding my purpose and calling and learning a lot along the way.
I love my family. We are small in number, but we have enough dysfunction
amongst us to make up for the lack of cousins. My mom is my backbone. My brother keeps me from doubting myself. My sister is my best friend…and stylist. Without her, I would leave the house looking like a librarian.
Then there’s Justin. He lives on a boat on the lake. He doesn’t know it yet, but he will be a regular feature on this blog (love you, babers). He lives LoveStruck every day, and he has been a huge inspiration and supporter of me…through good and bad. There aren’t enough words to say about him and his kind, generous, beyond loving soul, but anytime he is mentioned in LoveStruck, I can certainly promise I will try!
About Love Struck
This idea blossomed during a time filled with heartbreak. I had been toying around with the idea of starting a blog for a few years, but never had a focus, a purpose. Well, life happened and out of pain came the launch of LoveStruck in 2014.
I took a few year hiatus. Again, life happened, I got a little lost, and I stopped doing the things that fueled and fed my soul…like writing.
Over the last few years, this blog has transformed much like every aspect of my life. It’s time to start fresh. So here we go.
Life is hard. Living a life led by and focused on love is even harder.
It’s easy to be negative. Easier to be a pessimist. Easiest to give up.
LoveStuck is about loving the life you’re living right now and striking those around you with love.
It can be a simple smile, a few words of kindness, or leaving an extra tip at your local coffee shop.
What you put into the world and focus your life and energy on is what comes back to your heart. It directly affects your life.
So why not live a life LoveStruck? Why not live a life led by love? Let’s live, act, and believe in God’s immense, unconditional, overflowing love for your own life and all the small, hard, good, daring moments that come with it.
Then let’s strike others with that same love.
This is LoveStruck.
